Benifuuki No. 1 - Organic Japanese Green Tea

Unlike regular Green Tea this Japanese green tea specialty from the 1st picking in May is slightly fermented. It comes from the tea variety "Benifuuki" and has a very high content of the antioxidative or antiallergic catechines EGCg and 3MeEGCg (EGCg3). The scent and flavor of this years harvest, when all conditions are just right during the time of the Benifuuki Spring picking surprised even us. We are delighted by this new harvest: As soon as you open the package a wonderful smell streams out, characteristic for Benifuuki and a little like that of very fine Oolong tea. The leaf structure is good and of a luscious green. In the cup the tea develops a soft green color with golden reflexions and caresses the tongue with playfully fruity and light with a subtle tartness and the elegant notes of jasmine in the scent. Storage In order to preserve the precious flavours and ingredients of the tea as best as possible, we recommend to seal the bag well and store it cool and dark - ideally in your refrigerator or freezer. The production and also the fragrance are similar to that of Oolong tea. However, the freshly harvested leaves are not simply heated, but steamed briefly at especially high temperatures. Furthermore, the partial fermentation does not take place in a warm environment as with Oolong, but in the dark at a low temperature. Only the further drying and pressing process corresponds to that of Oolong tea. Thanks to this special processing this unusual tea stays green like a real Japanese tea!

Kukicha - Organic Japanese Green Tea

KEIKO Kukicha is made from the fine stems (Japanese: Kuki) of the tea leaves from the first 3 main pickings. Especially for green tea beginners this tea is a wonderful entry, because even with longer infusion time and hotter water it hardly develops bitter substances and maintains its pleasant mild, warm aroma. In addition, Kukicha contains less caffeine than other green teas, so that it can also be enjoyed in the evening.Kabusecha Kabusecha is a green tea for which the tea plants are shaded, thus forming a high content of chlorophyll and other active ingredients and at the same time little bitter substances. Benifuuki No. 2 - Organic Japanese Green Tea

This Japanese green tea from the 2nd picking is very tenderly fermented. It is made from the tea variety "Benifuuki". This is characterized by a particularly high content of the special active ingredient epigallocatechin gallate 3 (EGCG 3), which reaches its peak similar to the caffeine content at the 2nd picking. The yellowish-green, clear cup has a slightly tart aroma with a floral note, which is particularly emphasized when the infusion time is shorter. The production and also the scent is similar to that of the Oolong tea. However, the freshly harvested leaves are not simply heated, but steamed for a short time while overheated. Furthermore, the partial fermentation does not take place in a warm environment as with Oolong, but in the dark at a low temperature! easy Ice Tea - Kabuse Sencha with Matcha in teabags

Even when infused with cold water, the easy Ice Tea develops a beautiful green colour and the refreshing, almost sweet Kabusecha taste. Teabags are now compostable! The tea bag material "Neo Soilon" is sugar cane-based and GMO-free and can be disposed of in your home compost.You can find more information here. The practical triangle tea bags contain kabusecha from the 1st and 2nd planting as well as a small amount of hojicha and matcha. Kabusecha is a green tea that is produced by shading the tea plants, which results in a high content of chlorophyll and other active ingredients and a low level of bitter substances. Its characteristic "shade flavour" is called "ooika". As a mizudashi, the easy ice tea can be served iced "on the rocks" and is an ideal refreshment - all you need is a container and cold water! Preparation is super quick and the infused tea stays fresh and bright green for a long time! Whether at home, in the office, during sport, at a picnic or when travelling, this tea is an absolute must in summer! And the best thing is: Tipp: if it's too fresh for an iced tea, the bags can also be infused with hot water - bringing out the warming roasted flavours of the hojicha. Hojicha - Organic Japanese Green Tea

Hojicha (or: Houjicha) is a roasted green tea. The name is composed of the word 'hojiru' for 'toast' and the 'cha' for 'tea'. With a Horoku tea roaster you can even roast your own hojicha from your favourite green tea. KEIKO Hojicha is made from Kabusecha of the 1st and 2nd picking. Hojicha is probably the only green tea that has the right to have a red-brown cup colour. What otherwise indicates a lack of quality is in this case desired. Hochija is a great companion in both the cold and warm seasons. With its warm, mild and nut-like roasting aromas, a hot Hojicha is just right to warm up after a long winter walk. Tencha Niji - Organic Japanese Green Tea

An exciting rarity from Kagoshima. The name "Niji" ("rainbow") symbolizes the wide range of delicate aromas this Tencha has to offer. Due to the strong shading of the tea bushes before harvesting, particularly high amounts of chlorophyll, theanine and caffeine are formed in the plant. Kabuse Sencha+Matcha, organic

A pinch of matcha gives this semi-shade green tea from the April picking a bright deep green colour, especially in the first infusion, which then clears up slightly. The pleasing, fresh green flavour makes the tea a wonderful everyday companion and is also a good starter tea for green tea novices.In Japanese, this combination of Sencha with Matcha powder is also known as Matchairi Sencha.Kabusecha is a green tea that is produced by shading the tea plants, which causes them to develop a high content of chlorophyll and other active ingredients such as theanine, which is noticeable in the sweet flavour. At the same time, the plants produce fewer bitter substances due to the shade.Like many KEIKO teas, this tea is an intensively steamed tea (Fukamushicha). The gentle steaming process opens up the leaf pores and increases the extract content of the tea. This can be recognised by the cloudy, deep green cup and the yield of the tea. <h3>Preparation</h3>Intensively steamed early pickings are also particularly suitable for cold infusions (mizudashi). Even with cold water, you can obtain an intense and refreshing iced tea after just a few minutes. As the bitter substances do not develop as strongly when cold, the sweet flavours of Kabusecha are particularly effective. We recommend a brewing time of at least 5 minutes for the cold infusion.For the hot infusion, we recommend a temperature of 60-65°C and 60 seconds infusion time for the first infusion.
