Sae Akari
Sae Akari was registered as a new cultivar in 2012 and emerged from its cross with the cultivar Yutaka Midori, to which it owes its bright green color.
The fresh, slightly floral aroma is often described as gentle and invigorating. Sae Akari tea is known for its clean, sweet taste with low bitterness and mild astringency. It offers a smooth, refreshing drinking experience.
The ripening period is earlier than the reference cultivar Yabukita, but slightly later than the cultivar Yutaka Midori, which is popular in KEIKO tea.
Different harvest times make it easier for farmers, as not all fields have to be harvested at the same time.
