Product information "Glass teapot with strainer lid. 450 ml"

The modern, elegant glass teapot is particularly easy to use thanks to a built-in filter on the lid.
As with Kyusu pots, the tea leaves have plenty of room to develop freely and release their extract into the water - and you can watch them do so wonderfully!
The glass pot is ideally suited for both hot infusions and mizudashi preparation with cold water. Just remember that for hot infusion, the water should be poured out completely after each infusion to prevent the leaves from continuing to steep and making later infusions bitter.
For cold brew tea, the infusion time is less relevant, as the bitter substances dissolve less in cold water, while the sweet theanine develops particularly well at low temperatures. The infusion time is highly dependent on the tea; for Fukamushi green tea, just a few minutes are enough for an invigorating, bright green iced tea!
Try also "Infused Water" with e.g. cucumber, lemongrass, ginger or mint in the pot - a pleasure in summer!
A video of the pot in action can be found here.

Mulberry Leaf Tea - Organic
The mulberry trees of the Morus Alba variety are cultivated on a family farm in Thailand according to EU organic guidelines before they are steamed just as gently using the Sencha method and processed with the same machines as Japanese green tea, thus preserving the sensitive ingredients in the best possible way. When infused, the tea is mild and subtly sweet with a fine herbal aroma. With a stronger dosage, the tea develops a heavier, round - almost malty aroma. It is pleasantly relaxing and soothing and is ideal as a caffeine-free alternative or complement to green tea in the evening.
Preparation
Infuse the mulberry leaf tea with boiling hot water for at least 4 minutes. We recommend 1-2 teaspoons per 250ml cup. A second infusion is possible, as with green tea. For a milder green tea taste, you can mix the mulberry leaves with green tea leaves. The ideal blend is with Benifuuk tea. The sweet notes of the mulberry leaves balance out the tart flavour of the Benifuuki tea, complementing the catechin-rich tea with its own richness of active ingredients.
Learn more
Read more about the origin, production and properties of mulberry leaves in our blog post.

Shincha Sae Midori 2024 - Organic Japanese Green Tea
New in the KEIKO Shincha family: a sweet and aromatic Asamushi tea made from 100% Sae Midori with a silky-smooth sweetness, a full-bodied flavour with a long finish that is somewhat reminiscent of Gyokuro. Cultivation and processing Shincha - the ‘new tea’ heralds the start of the tea year every spring. The first tea from the fine, particularly aromatic leaf tips, which are harvested in the subtropical climate of Kagoshima as early as mid-April. Kabusecha is a green tea that is produced by shading the tea plants for 7-10 days before harvesting, which results in a high content of chlorophyll and other active ingredients and a low level of bitter substances. Their characteristic ‘shade flavour’ is called ‘ooika’. Early harvests such as Shincha Sae Midori also have a particularly high theanine content, which is noticeable in the sweet flavour and is particularly evident in the Sae Midori cultivar. Shincha Sae Midori is an asamushi tea, i.e. only lightly steamed. The leaves are therefore dark green, shiny and needle-shaped. The infusion is light green in the cup Preparation Due to the lower steaming, the tea extract dissolves somewhat more slowly than with intensively steamed teas - we recommend an infusion temperature of around 65°C and an infusion time of 70 seconds for the first infusion. For the second infusion, a brewing time of around 30 seconds is sufficient, after which it can be extended again. This tea also develops its wonderfully full flavour as a cold infusion after a slightly longer infusion time - the dosage can be increased depending on taste. Cultivar: 100% Sae Midori (Asamushi) from Yamaguchi-San in Satsuma-cho Storage To preserve the tea's valuable flavours and ingredients as much as possible, please close the bag tightly and store it in a cool, dark place in the fridge or freezer.

Gyokuro Kiwami - Organic Japanese Green Tea
Enjoy a harmonious aroma with the fine sweetness typical of Gyokuro, paired with a refreshing fruity spice and a long, full-bodied aftertaste. For the first time we can now offer a premium Gyokuro from the highlands of Kagoshima. The tea bushes are only harvested once a year. In two stages, the tea plants are shaded for a total of 3 weeks and slightly steamed for about 40 seconds (Futsuumushi). The infusion of the small dark green needle-shaped leaves presents itself in the cup with a green that is unusually intense for Gyokuro, especially in the second infusion, and a fresh, invigorating fragrance. We recommend three infusions at 50-60°C for this tea, the fruity aromas are particularly effective in cold infusion. Fully shaded teas from organic cultivation are particularly rare, as the tea plants are also particularly prone to parasites in the strong shade and special diligence and experience are required for cultivation. However, the effort is rewarded with a very special, multifaceted density of aromas. Storage In order to preserve the precious flavours and ingredients of the tea as best as possible, we ask you to seal the bag well and store it cool and dark - ideally in your refrigerator or freezer.
