Matcha Bowls
Matcha is traditionally prepared in the bowl and drunk directly from the bowl. The bowl should be large enough to be able to froth the tea without it spilling over.
In winter, thick-walled, higher bowls tend to be chosen, while thin-walled or open-top bowls are used in summer. The decoration is also often adapted to the season or the occasion.
